Expanding E-Bike Access to Buffalo’s East Side.
Reddy Bikeshare is excited to introduce their new pedal-assist e-bike fleet called Reddy+. As part of Clean Mobility Buffalo, Reddy Bikeshare has added Reddy+ to existing East Side Reddy stations and is doubling their station footprint on Buffalo's East Side, aiming to enhance connectivity and provide more convenient mobility options.
As part of its mission to expand access to affordable, sustainable transportation options across Buffalo’s East Side, Reddy Bikeshare continues to grow their reach throughout East Side neighborhoods.
Through Reddy Bikeshare’s growing network, residents can access both traditional pedal bikes and Reddy+ e-bikes at existing and newly installed stations, creating more convenient connections to schools, businesses, parks, healthcare services, and community destinations across Buffalo.
A key component of this work is the East Side Forward Pass: A discounted annual bikeshare membership created to improve transportation access for East Side residents.
Available to adults living on Buffalo’s East Side, the East Side Forward Pass costs just $3 per year and offers significantly reduced ride rates throughout the Reddy Bikeshare system:
Pedal bikes: $0.01 per minute
Reddy+ e-bikes: $0.10 per minute
To enroll, residents must provide a valid East Side address and can register using a prepaid cash card, debit card, or credit card, helping ensure the program remains accessible to riders with a variety of banking options.
By reducing barriers to mobility, the East Side Forward Pass supports greater access to employment, education, healthcare, recreation, and everyday services — while helping build a more connected and equitable transportation network for Buffalo’s East Side communities.
